Helicopter Landing Officer

--Wrote Heliport Procedures for a newly established heliport providing support, transport and medevac services to an Offshore Installation located off the Nicaraguan coast.

-Assist Helicopter Captain in operations, including shutdown/startup, refueling, passenger safety and overall safety of heliport staff, passengers and Helicopter Crew.

-Provide training and mentoring for ground safety personnel.

-Controlling the flight pad and operations by conducting safety briefings to passengers and ground safety crew.

-Coordinate safe passage to and from the aircraft to a designated safe location during refueling operations.

Atwood Oceanics – International assignments to include Malaysia, Australia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand -Rig based Health, Safety & Environmental specialist assigned as part of the compliment of a Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit.

Lockout/Tagout, Basic First Aid/AED, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Stop for Each Other for Supervisors, DROPS program and all other safety related programs.

-Conduct investigations of incidents onboard using Incident Cause Analysis Method.

-Conduct audits of safety and operational performance.

-Mentor and Coach all on board during all offshore work activities.

Medical Chief

February 2003 to July 2006

United States Navy - Lafayette, LA Performed duties independently from a Medical Officer. Primary responsibilities included managing and maintaining medical and dental combat readiness for all Marines assigned to my unit.

Completed a tour in Iraq during this time and was deployed to Fallujah. Was responsible for the safety and treatment of

over 90 Marines in Combat situations. I personally completed over 300 missions and patrols in and around the city of

Fallujah. My unit was also a part of Operation Phantom Fury/Al Fajr, which regained a coalition stronghold in that part of

the country.

April 2000 to February 2003

United States Navy - Virginia Beach, VA -Managed over 30 junior Hospital Corpsmen in day to day operations for various departments within the clinic.

-Wrote all periodical evaluations and award recommendations.

-Managed a 2.2 million dollar refurbishing project, which was completed ahead of schedule and saved the command over 100,000 dollars.
