PROJECTS

•Extractive Text Summarization – Created a corpus of news articles by using Python’s BeautifulSoup library and regular expressions to scrape articles from news outlets. These articles were analyzed using the NLTK library to produce extractive summaries. Project available at https://github.com/phillips0616/text-sum.

•MyScipy – A Python library for easily computing linear algebra and digital signal processing operations.

•ArduEncrypt – Worked using Arduino technology to generate random numbers used to encrypt text with onetime pad algorithm, written in Java. Designed Java GUI for user interface using Swing and AWT libraries.

•Wilmington Air – Created and populated a database of airports, flights, seating arrangements, and other pertinent airport information for a mock airport using MySQL. Implemented a frontend for this database using HTML and PHP that allowed users to connect to the site and order flights.
