Management Accomplishments
Created a single-location title insurance agency and settlement company into a national production and sales center business unit. Mr. Freed was responsible for building an operations and sales footprint that was licensed in 26 states and negotiated outsourcing agreements for full national coverage. Mr. Freed created and maintained a national network of vendors and attorneys and implemented sophisticated software and technologies to monitor standards of quality and service. In his capacity as President, Mr. Freed managed all senior level direct reports for operations and sales. All 40 full-time employees and approximately 100 contract employees reported up through Mr. Freed.
Negotiated and merged operations for 6 business units in creating the largest bank owned captive title insurance vendor management company and real estate information services firm in the country. Resulting organization consisted of over 300 employees generating over 1 million transactions and $25 million annually. In this capacity, Mr. Freed, as EVP Operations, reported to the CEO and was responsible for all operations in the corporate facility. Managed 4 senior executives, 6 department heads, 175 employees and 3 different revenue streams.
Reorganized and built-up client support service offerings to include dedicated client services and operational teams and significantly changed the personnel and focus of business development efforts. Assimilated 5 separately acquired companies and integrated a seamless transition to a new organizational structure he created. Researched and brought in new technology (vendor management and tracking software, incorporation of GPS data assessment and review platforms) to match industry requirements, launched new service offerings that exceeded revenue projections and surpassed sales targets, retained key employees during transformation period and maintained a high level of client satisfaction.
Initiated the startup and coordinated all business and sales segments that provide law firms with outsourcing, administration, review and disbursement of cases related to the firm’s practice and required legal services. Operational footprint consisted of approximately 500 employees and contractors providing real estate services, document intake, data entry, vendor management, research, investigations, document and court services, service of process, claims review and fund disbursements. Focus was on defining the organizational strategy and vision, process improvement and streamlining operations to assimilate regional operating centers and meet market demands. Millions of dollars were eliminated from operating expenses in less than 12 months through economies of scale and technology investments that yielded the expected ROI in less than one year. In this capacity, Mr. Freed, as CEO, reported to an executive committee and was responsible for all revenue streams that generated $100 million in revenue.
Evaluated existing business workflow and initiated projections for expansion of a legal services company transitioning from a founder run organization which resulted in a restructuring of all departments in order to implement business process improvements, capture business intelligence statistics, and monitor process improvement results. Focus was on real estate related services, managed services, revenue acquisition, business development, client satisfaction and workflow efficiency for a company that was stagnated and experiencing margin erosion. Operationally, all functions became centralized and all departments became metrics driven. Mr. Freed also spearheaded a Florida expansion leading the creation of an operations and sales facility, personally marketing and securing commitments for millions of dollars in new business. Mr. Freed reported to the Founder/CEO along with the Board of Directors. Mr. Freed was responsible for managing 100 employees and generating over $25 million in revenue.
