PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Manufacturing Engineer Intern - CARLIN COMBUSTION TECHNOLOGY INC Dec’15 - Present
Consolidated standard of worker instructions (SOP) for commercial and residential Oil/Gas Burners in reference with wiring diagrams.
Implemented visual control systems and 5S techniques to recompose work instructions for better understanding.
Conducted the time-studies and evaluated data to provide a time, cost saving and productivity improvement analysis.
Analyzed and improved packaging practices for complete assembled burner, resulting in reduction of non- value added time through usage of Lean tools.
Jr. Research Engineer - RESEARCH LABORATORY AT JNTUH Jan’13- May’13
Experimental Investigations of Mechanical Properties of Stepped Edge Weld Joint Prepared by Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloys.
Supervised the project to develop a weld joint by friction stir welding and tested the mechanical properties to suggest an appropriate edge length.
Conducted engineering analysis to evaluate mechanical properties of the weld joint.
Concluded through statistical analysis that the tensile strength and the hardness of 4mm weld edge length was superior to others.
Manufacturing Intern - VIZAG STEEL PLANT May’12 - Sep’12
Material Handling Analysis of Steel and Steel Products
Directed the team and administered the manufacturing operations of steel production departments (i.e.,) Raw material plant, Sinter Plant, Blast furnace, Steel metal shop and Continuous casting plant.
Suggested the techniques for improving material handling efficiency by a margin of 20%.
Conducted training sessions for operators to implement good manufacturing practices (GMP). Jr. Quality Engineer - SKM Technologies Pvt Ltd Jan’12 - Apr’12
Manufacturing and Quality Analysis of Aerospace Components
Analyzed manufacturing stages of critical aerospace and defense components (i.e.,) Side cover for T- bearing, Top plate for coolant tubes, Plate vane attachment and Arm inner hinge for first batch production reviews.
Monitored operations of conventional and unconventional machining process (electric and electrode discharge machines)
Supervised the quality inspection through automated contact inspection methods and performed pre- delivery inspection on coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
Obtained knowledge through hands-on experience with Micrometers, Digital Vernier Calipers and Bore Gauges etc. (Measuring Instruments).
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Design of Experiments (Statistical analysis) - Evaluating the factors that influence the time being spent on Social Media
Collected the data of the time allocated on social media by the people based on four different factors (age, relationship status, gender and purpose).
Concluded the results after analyzing the data with the combination of factors through DESIGN EXPERT, MINITAB and emphasized that age is the most important factor. (Tools used - DESIGN EXPERT and MINITAB) Simulation Techniques - A Case Study on Carlin Combustion Technology
Designed the simulation model for Carlin Combustion Controls and analyzed with best scenarios in order to improve overall performance of the real system. (Tools used – ARENA and MINITAB)
Monitored the team in implementing statistical analysis through Anova test, Data fitting, Model validation and time frame for simulation model.
Quality Analysis - Failure mode and effects analysis an integrated approach for product design and process control – A Case Study
Analyzed the data of UPVC pipe Amhara Pipe Factory to identify the production issues.
Conducted case study analysis to evaluate the importance of FMEA, MFMEA, assigning the Risk Priority Number (RPN) at various production units. (Tools used – MINITAB) Operations Research - Advanced linear optimization
Evaluated Transshipment problem forming distribution industry to formulate an optimized solution.
Implemented Nodal Analysis to calculate the minimum cost route for the transportation which had a cost saving benefit. (Tools used – Microsoft EXCEL)
Engineering Economics and Cost Estimation - Snow Removal at UNH
Performed cost analysis utilizing Economic and cost estimation principles to recommend a feasible solution for snow removal at the University of New Haven.
Evaluated the best alternatives though calculations present worth, future and annual worth with consideration of various parameters. (Tools used – Microsoft EXCEL and MACROS) HONORS AND LEADERSHIP ROLLS
Recipient, Graduate Scholarship by Govt of INDIA in 2014.
Participant, Graduate student showcase at University of New Haven in 2016
Best Organizer for the college level technical fests “PRATHIBHA” and “MECHATHLON” at TKR College of Engineering and Technology in 2010 and 2012.
