Responsibility:
Develop a new mega-series(37 model) of Centrifugal end suction pump as per ISO 2858:1975 and IS 13518:1992 (16 BAR)
Design new products in a timely manner and in accordance with the engineering procedures
Preparation of drawings for the Draftsmen and verification of the drawings
Participates in project kick-off and follow up meetings
Handles the layout drawings approval, as appropriate
Maintains knowledge of the usual codes and studies the impact on our products of the revision of these codes
Responsible for supporting all technical needs within the Pump product line including support for product design, manufacturing, and the end user
Work with pump assembly and test to qualify new parts or special customer test requirements
Selection of suitable turbine for the project/tender requirement.
Preparation of basic hydraulic parameters of turbine as per project/tender requirement.
Calculate System GD2& Axial and Radial thrust for particular selected turbine and submit it to Generator Department along with turbine runner mounting arrangement enabling them to select proper generator.
Prepare turbine Guaranteed Technical Particulars (GTP), Characteristics curve, General Arrangement drawing of powerhouse including turbine setting.
Prepare costing data for particular project/tender and submit it to Costing Department for cost estimation.
Prepare Model Test Report for particular project/tender.
Prepare foundation drawings and calculate foundation loads accordingly
Model testing for particular project/tender.
Calculate hydraulic performance of model
Prepare hill chart for tested model.
3-D Modelling & making drawings using Creo1.0/Pro-E 5.0 and Auto-CAD for turbine model.
PTC wind-chill training
Surfacing, Assembly, Drawing view, etc.
