BUSINESS IMPACT
BUSINESS FUNDING AND GROWTH STRATEGIES
o Led turnaround in a district whose sales had slumped to 6% annual
growth. One year later, year-on-year sales growth catapulted to 28%.
o Guided district to achieve the lowest turnover in the division.
Average turnover is 10% a year, significantly lower than the
division's rate of 38%.
o Steered turnaround in a store that was underperforming in inventory.
Six months after implementing inventory controls, shrink dropped 50%.
Within a year, shrink rate was better than company-wide rate.
RECRUITING AND TRAINING
o Chosen to represent ALDI District Managers during university
recruiting events. Attend dinners at selected universities with ALDI's
Vice President of Florida and several directors to give presentations
to students who want to be hired as District Manager trainees.
o Currently serve as a District Manager Trainer and mentor for the
division. This involves teaching store operations to trainees and
evaluating their performance.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
o Led a project to design a new merchandise plan for the wine area of
ALDI stores. The resulting plan was rolled out nationally by Corporate
Purchasing. Wine sales are up 15% and the company has added an
additional 50 wines to the set.
o Tapped to lead the rollout of a new payroll system in my division.
Led two-day workshop at the divisional office for District Managers,
Directors of Operation and office payroll staff.
o Developed an employee scheduling program that was so well-received, it
is now being rolled out nationally. The program was designed to
promote a better work-life balance without compromising business
needs.

o Divisional Liaison to the purchasing department for the last three
years. Provide feedback on case size and durability, quality of
product, display of product, quantity and price point.
o Divisional Warehouse Liaison for two years. District was part of a
test program to control the amount of water that was being stored at
the warehouse for deliveries. The test program was successful in the
district and was rolled out to the division.

Parks & Recreation Event Planning Internship
Organized multiple events for the city. Free Friday Concert Series
consisted of contacting musicians and food vendors for the weekly
events. Attended the events to oversee operations. Organized Heart of
Florida Annual Asian Festival. Contacted performers, vendors and
musicians scheduled to attend. Reviewed display plan of the festival and
decided on placement of vendors. Managed volunteers during the event and
delegated them to areas of the festival.

City Beautification Project Event Planning Internship
Assisted in the planning of Florida Arbor Day. Organized the seating
layout of attendees, guest speakers and press. Communicated with local
government on location of trees planted for the event.
