WORK EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant July 2015 – December 2016

University of Missouri – Kansas City Missouri, USA

Generated LTE signal waveforms and executed LTE conformance tests using MATLAB

Analyzed the LTE and LTE-A signals using LTE simulation toolbox in MATLAB

Researched on proximity services outlined in the 3GPP Release 12. Done an extensive research on device to device communication systems and their communication when there is a failure in the eNode B (base station)

Research Assistant (Thesis Research) January 2016 - Present

University of Missouri – Kansas City Missouri, USA

Worked on troubleshooting the Software Defined Radios and working with them for our Thesis Research

Worked with the GNU Radio companion tool and USRP together and implemented many projects like designing of a Low Pass Filter through building blocks on GNU radio companion

Tested the efficiency of the radios present and tested the coverage until which it can receive the transmitted signal

LTE Test Engineer Trainee May 2012 – June 2013

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Hyderabad, India

Responsible for documenting LTE call flows. Held the database for call flows information

Experience between the gateway and PCRF related interfaces; Gx, Rx, Sp, Sy

Profound understanding on SIP messages for 4G calls: Invite, ACK, BYE, CANCEL, 1xx, 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx, and 6xx

Experience in troubleshooting of LTE RAN equipment

Gained excellent knowledge on Cisco telephony

Gained hands-on working experience with the operation of basic telecom network elements

Worked with broadband technologies with special emphasis on data speed rates, roaming facilities and OFC

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Thesis Title: USRP based channel sounding January 2016- Present

Worked on the data transmission using Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP).Calculated the Bit Error Rates from the data that was received at the receiver. Was responsible for implementing Software Defined Radio (SDR) over air interface

My research work kick started from installing the GRC which took around 11 hours. Conducted on site wireless signal measurement to determine the changes in the BER at different interference levels

Implemented and tested the benchmark tool to transmit and receive data streams and calculate the Bit and packet error for different modulation schemes. We have done this at different environments to analyze the effect of fading characteristics on the data received

AWARDS AND PUBLICATIONS

Research Journal Publication February 2013

Published a paper in International Journal for Electronics, Communications and Instrumentation Engineering Research and Development (IJECIERD)

Certification in Long Term Evolution (LTE) Networks June 2016

Successfully cleared the Cognitel certification for Long Term Evolution Networks. The certification provided me to gain an overview on evolution, protocols, architectures of the LTE networks

Microsoft Certified Python Expert June 2016

Successfully completed the online course Microsoft : DAT 208x Introduction to Python for Data Science scoring 80 % in the course

EDUCATION

Master of Science - Electrical Engineering August 2014- December 2016 University of Missouri - Kansas City GPA 3.46

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Volte sequence diagram generation using visual ether protocol analyzer May 2016

Analyzed the sequence diagrams of the Volte originated call from an I-phone. A Wireshark PCAP file is converted into a sequence diagram

The TCP/UDP messages are added from the Wireshark to the Visual Ether FXT editor which prompts the analyzer to generate the sequence diagram based on the information given in the editor

Analysis of Captured Network Traffic using Wireshark April 2016

Got familiarized with various protocols like HTTP, DNS, by analyzing packets that are captured in Wireshark

Wireshark is a packet analyzing tool which captures live network traffic, analyze and deduce various protocol parameters and performance

Performance of 802.11g and ZigBee Network May 2015

Created an environment that has an Access Point (AP) and 3 individual nodes that are connected by LAN.Analyzed the global and individual throughputs of the above network by disabling the AP and disabling different active nodes

Achieved greater throughput values when the traffic was less in the network
