From 1995 to 2012, I was chosen to be co-chairman of the wheat pit for the C.B.O.T. My duties were to oversee and enforce the rules and regulations of the exchange.

2007 Nominated EDUCATOR of the YEAR by the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce. I was the first non-professional teacher to be nominated for this award. (Teaching life lessons on the football field).
2006-2009 President of the Lake Zurich Flames football and cheerleading organization. Program of 700+ youths.
Built relationships with local township government and communicated with the best interest for our program and the community. Resulting in Ela Township building a $300,000 concession stand.
Revitalized community spirit with pertinent events to gather food for the local food pantry.
Integrated local businesses into our football organization for dual benefits.
Arranged 6 trucks full of clothes, furniture, and food to Ashtabula Dream Center in Ohio. Providing for those in need.
2009 Co-Chair community fundraiser (kids win) for local school district that was financially strapped in keeping several sports programs. Assisted in an event, a flag football game, with local teachers, and staff being the competitors. Boy scouts to do the pledge of allegiance; middle-school choir to sing the national anthem; high school poms to cheer on the participants; high school marching band for the half-time performance. Local businesses to supply the food and drinks; local church congregation to work the concession stand; youth football program to handle ticket sales and also a retired NFL player doing the play by play commentary.
