The World Bank Group
Information Officer

As project manager, I was responsible for delivering the Portfolio Risk Management System (PRIMA), a global system sponsored by the Operations Risk unit (OPSOR). I worked with key stakeholders to define project scope and capture requirements and coordinated with the technical and service delivery teams both onsite and offshore to complete this assignment. PRIMA utilized state of the art technologies such as dashboard and BI reporting, streamlined data capture, and integration with existing operations systems for enhanced risk management and financial audit and compliance monitoring to deliver significantly improved information quality and reduced management reporting turnaround from a monthly cycle to real time.
I served as the technical project manager for designing and implementing the Bank’s first externally facing web based interactive geographic information system (GIS) initiative called PEGASYS. PEGASYS showcased thematic views of the Bank’s lending activities toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and in response to natural disasters through a creative use of raster and vector imagery. I also developed an interactive mapping tool for the Latin America Regional VP (LCRVP) to aid in analyzing the socio-economic impact of Bank’s lending activity at the sub-national boundary level.
Project manager responsible for delivering the Operations Project Datamart that served as the primary clearinghouse via the Bank’s externally facing web site for information on lending and supervision activities.
As a member of a core team responsible for designing and implementing the institutional data warehouse and BI reports on lending, project supervision, compliance, and staff training, I conducted requirements gathering sessions, developed functional and technical specifications and supervised a team of 3 onsite and 3 offshore developers and 2 QA staff.
