Positioned blades in the boxguage to form sections, positioned, and scribe points. Measured tenon location on blades with dial indicator, selected two blades with equal tenons for end blades of section. Fitted locking device to pocket of blade and smoothed surfaces with chalk, files and abrasive paper.
Drilled, reamed and tapped locking items, such as cylinder locks, spindle filler pieces, seals and wedges, using drill press, and fastened them to blade by penning, and inserting setscrew.

Positioned, clamped fixtures, and stops into machine, using square, rule, and template.Selected heating coil, bent copper, alloy tubing, and wire into coils, which outlined joint to be brazed. Bolted, and screwed coil to electrode. Placed wire, strip, and preformed pieces of brazing alloy over edges of components and brushed flux along seams to be joined. Started electric current in coils to heat work piece and melt alloy. Removed work piece, using tongs and tweezers, when brazed metal had solidified, as indicated by color.
