Objective
I am currently seeking a career opportunity that will allow me to utilize my twelve years of teaching experience and more recently developed office and managerial skills to the greatest potential for myself and the company that chooses to take advantage of this unique skill set. Physical limitations have been primary in my reason for not continuing in education. I find that lifting children over 50 or 60 pounds and getting up and down from the floor is not as easy as it used to be.

Customer service, training and troubleshooting
Mature, confident and pleasant phone presence even in difficult situations

Dispatching others to needed positions, jobs or places
Scheduling employees, meetings and events
Planning and contracting events and meetings
Keeping detailed notes and documentation of all contacts with clients, staff and management
Fluent in American Sign Language
Education
Texas Tech University
All three of my degrees are from Texas Tech and I graduated with honors.
Undergraduate: Deaf Education
Master’s: Dual Sensory Impairment
Doctorate of Education: Special Education
Experience
Most of my past experience is in the teaching field. Currently I am developing office, business and managerial skills.
Waste Connections through Select Staff– 7/19/16
I am the first to answer the phone and try to handle anything that does not need managerial direction. This includes maintaining customer relations and records, processing and placing work orders, credit and billing inquiries and any other function given to me by the upper staff and management.
Sales
I have also worked in sales in several part-time positions. These include a ladies clothing store (Catherine’s) and an office supply and print shop (Staples).
Other
I have been a member of Toast Masters so public speaking does not make me nervous. Generally, I do not know a “stranger” and am able to interact with people I have not met before rather easily. If given a negative response to an inquiry, I can generally find a positive spin to the situation but never be so demanding as to make the customer or client uncomfortable.
