Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, Ga One of my responsibilities as a pct is to make sure the area I'm assigned to is restock at the start and end of my shift. Assist nurses with patient care such as getting urine specimens from patients and make sure the needs of the patient are met. Vitals signs are done every hour by techs and have to report any abnormal vital signs to the nurses. Transporting patients to their assign room is another task that I do as a tech,
I also have to apply telemetries to patients that need them. I have to make sure Telemetries are applied correctly and that they are working appropriately by calling central monitoring unit before transporting the patient. if the patient has a risk code such as vre or mesa, there are a few things I have to do before transporting a PT. This company makes labels on plastic for soda, water bottles, and many other companies. my job the was to seen my supervisor and he will tell me how many orders there were for the day to what sizes to cut the plastic according to the buyers specifications and need. The machines were electronic therefore I needed to have some sort of understanding of computers.
Recently started working at a company in oakwood Ga, Sapa extrusion North America. there I started as an unloader of metal. metal is put on hooks where is lifted and goes to the paint room where metal is painted. after metal Is painted it comes to the unloaders where metal is put on table in pairs and wraped with tape and sent down the line to what is called robo, where they get metal ready for shipping. since January when I started I have done several jobs within the company. I have load and unload metal as well as training to operate a crane. Crane operators are in charge of clearing ovens where metal is harden and then supplying the line with metal. I have taken the forklift test at sapa and pass it but just need to do the driving test to get certified for forklift.
