Objective

I am an Operations Manager with extensive Project Management skills. My objective is to obtain a position with an organization that will enable me to use my experience to improve its overall operational environment. I desire to use my project management experience as an asset that will aid in creating efficient and streamlined work environments. My major goal is to be a productive and essential part of a company that will benefit from my experience.

Experience

Personal Hiatus 07/2011 – Present

Took care of my Mother’s affairs when my Dad’s health failed in July 2011.

Dad passed in October 2013.

Got my Mom settled in her new role without Dad.

Began my effort to get back into the workforce and have been attempting to offer my talents since early 2014.

Process Technician

Managed and developed process improvements and implementation for the making department.

Controlled the inventory for all raw materials coming into the site and kept continual records of the materials stored onsite.

Developed and presented periodical reports of the department’s status.

Provided educational support to all employees as procedures were added or changed.

Senior Consultant

Performed Marketing and Operational consulting primarily for banks.

Provided an in depth report of issues discussed and recommendations made for each consulting assignment.

Performed educational seminars for employees to introduce new products or services.

When needed, performed seminars for key customers in order to prepare them for product changes.

Produced handouts and power point presentations for seminars.

Developed new consulting services and produced documentation to support the new services.

Centura Bank Corporation / Rocky Mount, NC 05/1985 – 03/1994

Vice President / Operations

Note: This position was one that came about through the merger of Mid-South Bank (Sanford, NC) into Centura Bank. I was employed by Mid-South from 1985 to 1993. My immediate superior was Rex Scott. Mr. Scott was my superior from 1985 through 2004, beginning at Mid-South Bank and ending in my role as Senior Consultant at Advanced Financial Solutions.

Managed the Operational areas for the bank. Including Data Processing, Bookkeeping, Item Processing, and Courier Transportation.

Provided project management for new system implementation.

Managed the overall budget for each of the areas under my control.

Acted as a liaison between the bank and outside operational entities.

Operations Manager

Managed the day to day processing.

Worked hand in hand with programmer to ensure that all fixes remained stable when source code was changed.

Ensured that the bank balanced operationally each day.
