Title: Human Resource Manager
Solely responsible for all aspects of human resources for Mortara Instrument, a Milwaukee based global medical device company, from 2000 to December 2013. I managed and administered the hiring, terminations, on-boarding and training, performance and compensation, FMLA, safety, affirmative action, comprehensive wellness program, 401K/Profit Sharing plan, and complete benefit package including a self funded health plan. In 2013 Mortara acquired another medical device company and I became a member of a three person HR team, reporting to the HR Director.
Major accomplishments:
Developed and administered a comprehensive health and wellness program that included annual on-site and nation-wide health risk assessments, bio-metric screening, and wellness coaching. This was combined with an incentive program, health savings accounts, and a self-funded health insurance plan which enabled Mortara to control costs and still offer a quality, well received plan to our employees and recruits.
Created and maintained a culture in which human resources was trusted and respected. Mortara experienced very little turnover during my tenure.
Managed an acquisition in 2013 in which I on-boarded over 100 employees in less than one year.
