My current position title is a Technical Materials Developer for Xenios. The position involves creating written and virtual training for the software of a state of the art “Point of Sale” company. The materials developed are attached to the company business website as well as on a cloud to be downloaded as needed. The materials are managed through a learning management system. Materials are offered as a training package to our present and future customers. The training has several components including reading, listening, interacting, reference materials, and managing web materials. The interactive segment offers the participants a way to become certified in using the system. There are times where presentations are necessary, and materials are written for the business as well as for the participants and customers.

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:

At RCSD I held the title Project Assistant / Work Experience Supervisor. My functions included; grant writing and maintenance, working within a federally funded project operated in the Rochester City School District to support educational programming for disadvantaged city residents. Managing and integrating real world work activities into a program framework. This included work readiness skill development, job training, GED preparation, test practice and GED test administration. Planning with the supports available in the community to orchestrate proper integration, and working with the family and the students to ensure that all services available could be provided. This position required meeting supporting agencies, teaching, lecturing setting up a real world manufacturing process /business, and integrating with community programs. Wrote grants on the grant writing team and won top awards for the national and federal grants. This required excellent note taking and record production for the purpose of grant, national reporting, EPE and DHS funding requirements.

Webster CSD managed an Adult Education Program, planned for the Adult Learning Environment, working directly with adults both in manufacturing and in an educational setting. Participated in partnership activities that involved school to work and developed partnerships for students as summer interns and OJT Training. Experienced with the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional activities that enhance adult literacy skills, soft people skills, benefits, new employee orientation, employee handbooks, and product orientation. Assessment of these services was aligned with the desired outcomes to develop a process for Plan- do -Check -Act. This included extension studies management for certificate-based programs. Increased attendance of the program by 110% doubling the size + more! Increased tuition monies from $15, 000.00 to over $65,000.00 each session. Other activities included scheduling and program implementation; development of operational process for the program to include handbooks, web based program management and staff development for leaders. (Train the Trainer. Developed and implemented all accounting processes to manage budget with 99.9% accuracy and real time program funds management, completed all HR Functions relative to the Adult Education Program. Wrote and maintained the EPE grants for the program.

My business experience includes working directly with CEO’s confidentially. I provided support in several different capacities including all ISO functions, in the construction sector~ manufacturing and optics~ writing operational documents for business processes including inventory for service fleets, welding instructions, quality assurance documents for manuals, presentations for customers, union meetings, assisted with business website content and newsletters; and I have written winning grants for businesses.

Nine years’ experience teaching Art with Manchester-Shortsville grades 3-12. While working with the district I also served as coordinator of the Gifted and Talented Program; I screened students, developed curriculum, and notified/engaged parents to build a successful and interesting program for the students. During this time I wrote grants to maintain the scholastic arts show.

Five years with Williamson BOCES hired as a Department of Mental Health Teaching Assistant. Three of the five years I was at the educational center working with students who were placed in an institutional setting. The educational handicaps included EH, EMR, Profoundly Retarded, and Autistic, TMR, and MR. My responsibilities as a Teacher Assistant/Long Term Sub. included writing IEP’s with the team, attending CSE meetings and working with support services to provide counseling to the students. Wrote lesson plans, and working with parents to provide a well-rounded supportive environment for students. Two of the five years I served as a long-term substitute teacher and teacher assistant in the SSLHI program providing students with inclusive and resource room support.
