This position required excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clientele in a short amount of time. I was responsible for actively listening to discover the problems or issues each client was having with their computers and instructing them in how to resolve those issues in ways that were easy to understand. Less than three months after starting I was given the honor of being chosen as one of the top 100 employees, out of over 300, to participate in a new pilot program. This required, not only knowing the original service requirements but also to learn a whole new level of service and support as quickly as possible. I was required to maintain client confidentiality and the ability to gain their trust and permission to gain remote access to their personal computers to find and resolve the more difficult technical problems that could not be resolved just with simple instructions. It was both a proud and scary personal moment as the only employee to be chosen with the least time and experience at this company,

Note of Personal Achievement

A great deal of my experience and knowledge comes from life in general, as does for so many people. One of the proudest times of my life is when I was going to college, this is where I learned and mastered the ability of multi-tasking and remaining calm and in control when chaos surrounds you. Now, if you don’t mind I will just take one more moment of your time to explain why. When I went to college I was a single mother of 3 small children, all under 5 years old (2 of which had ADHD) and I also had 2 jobs. So to sum that time of my life up short and sweet: I attended college full-time, held 2 jobs, raised 3 children under 5, went through a divorce and still managed to graduate with honors and a 3.58 GPA. If that’s not multi-tasking and maintaining control under pressure, I'm not sure what is. Those abilities were not paid for, they were proudly earned and I still maintain them today even when my children are grown.
