Pacorini Logistics

New Orleans, LA Supply Chain Logistics Manager (Position Eliminated) 12/13 – 12/15

Managed all supply chain operations to include process implementation, project management, regulatory compliance, maintenance, scheduling, configuration, personnel, systems enhancement and new construction.

Coordinated all transportation and drayage, over the road, multi modal, cross docking, reverse logistics, warehousing and trans-loading operations nationwide. I had responsibility for five logistics/dispatch personnel, thirty-five truck drivers and nine warehouse employees.

I oversaw all D.O.T. compliance for an asset and owner operator based truck fleet.

I used my extensive multi modal contract negotiation and contract management experience to negotiate new agreements to leverage corporate freight volume resulting in reduced transportation costs and maximized operational efficiency.

I oversaw a load board based brokerage to assist in maintaining one hundred per cent load volume for Pacorini’s private fleet.

Houma, LA Strategic Sourcing /Supply Chain / Inventory Manager 3/12 – 12/13

I provided regional, national and global supply chain guidance, project management, inventory and logistics leadership at a corporate level for this oilfield services company.

I coached and mentored a staff of three professionals who were responsible for scheduling raw materials and finished goods in a timely manner in order to fill bill of material requests that would be used to manufacture finished assemblies. I maintained a logistical focus on all sand and chemical inventory moved by ocean, truck and rail.

I analized stock run rates on bulk sand and chemicals. Determine necessary steps to ensure availability domestically. I played a key role in managing all private fleet rail car shipments from our Wisconsin sand mining facility to multiple points in the U.S. I managed car movement with RMI software system.

I operated with a “First In, First Out” mindset. I identified obsolete SKU’s and determined a use for that inventory.

I negotiated supply chain contracts that leverage volume to improve service and reduce costs.

I managed all return material authorizations and processes for “kitting” of raw material into finished product. Managed customs clearance for all inbound finished product from China.

I also managed company inventory residing in 3PL warehouses located in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Australia, Brazil and China.

I accounted for all inventory entries to include purchase in, transfers, returns to inventory, etc… into inventory management system.

I coordinated with purchasing to provide accurate forecasting of parts and bulk sand and chemicals. I oversaw logistics of inbound inventory and managed all transportation modes (rail, barge and truck). I monitored PAR levels of all inventories.

Performed liaison activities with Entergy Nuclear, Fossil and Transmission and Distribution business unit purchasing and client groups.

Participated in the Transmission and Distribution restructuring of its warehousing operations from four locations to two locations.

Negotiated agreement and rolled out third party logistics provider for freight and transportation services for Entergy prior to departure from the company. I outsourced my job at the request of the incoming Chief Purchasing Officer.

Assisted in and acted in support of the Investment Recovery process. Provided logistical and supply chain support to wire chopping operations and worked to position “assets for sale” at regional auctions. Supported Transmission and Distribution group with asset recovery in “post storm” operations. Deployed resources into targeted areas to assist in recovering salvageable assets to be reconditioned and resold on the open market.
