Sparkling logistics career managing diverse material such as aircraft and helicopter parts, munitions, a 3 million gallon year fuels account and office supplies. Motivated 90 workers to excel in 33,000 part warehouse worth $10 million. Master Supply/Fuels & Master Leadership & Problem Solving Instructor. Selected as Supervisor of Quarter for US Air Force Thunderbirds, Company Grade Office of the Year (best of 5,000) twice and a National Finalist for Ten Outstanding Young Americans. Volunteer Honor Guard Commander to recruit, train and equip 70 volunteers for 230 military ceremonies and funerals per year across Alabama.

My ability to manage resources, communicate effectively and motivate people from all backgrounds, ethic groups and job levels resulted in my nomination for Company Grade Officer of the Year for 17th Air Force (the Best of four Air Force bases; 5,000 officers) and a finalist for Ten Outstanding Young Americans. I’ll use that same loyalty and dedication with your company to exceed customer expectations and build rapport.

My clear organization skills, ability to develop rapport and respect quickly with people and effectively communicate both written and speaking resulted in selection as Vice President of an international cell tower network company, Telecommunications, Development and Construction (TDC) and Vice President of the Missouri Black Chamber of Commerce. We are showing relevance to building cell tower service for rural and under-served inner city areas, and showing relevance to black owned businesses to grow their influence in connection with the National Black Chamber of Commerce briefing Congress on issues.

In my previous job for Hanley Industries, a government sub-contractor, I was the Purchasing Manager, but functioned as a Material Manager for a $3m yr company that provides explosive ignitors and excitors for United States Government contracts on military operations. I supervised a Assistant Purchasing Manager to process quotes, create purchase orders, receive all material, perform all inventory functions, and was responsible for shipping 1.4B explosive material per 49 CFR standards, including some parts with serial numbers. I created all shipping pack lists and sales forms to Accounting.

I’ve worked in many areas of Material Management including warehousing and purchasing. For ten years I purchased $3 million worth of electronics, machined parts and laser rods annually for a Northrop Grumman custom laser manufacturer, Cutting Edge Optronics. I tracked savings from bidding common electronic parts and saved $62,000 or 18% of our annual purchases. While in the US Air Force, I bought critical aircraft parts, ammunition with serial number control, jet fuel, equipment, office supplies and many other commodities. As a highly recognized middle level manager, I’ve been in charge of 90 warehouse people maintaining effective control of 33,000 line items worth $10 million.

I’ve also been a warehouse supervisor over 22 forklift operators loading two full-pallet loads of Proctor and Gamble products for shipment across America to retail stores such as Sam’s Club and Costco, and also to large grocery store chains. The warehouse had over 200,000 sq ft and 40 dock doors, with a constant flow of trucks being loaded for nationwide delivery.

My high levels of success and involvement as a Senior Air Force Captain provided me with extensive experience in organizing and directing many time-sensitive, long-term projects with outstanding results. For example, while maintaining effective control of a supply warehouse I volunteered as Commander of the Air Force Honor Guard Team for the entire state of Alabama. I recruited high caliber volunteers to train 2 hours each week, coordinated critical needs with their senior executives, and expertly managed 250 funerals per year for military veterans. This included training, uniforms, transportation and weapons security for 14-hour round trips.

Both my Bachelor and Masters Degrees are in Human Resources, and I excelled as a Cum Laude Graduate through night school with a 3.8 GPA.

I believe I have the aptitude, personality and friendliness to be an effective member of your company. I’m people oriented and find ways to develop rapport and respect with people from all levels of responsibility and different backgrounds. You’ll be pleased with my friendly personality and discover I actively look for methods to improve every job I’m assigned. I’m organized, goal oriented and communicate clearly in writing, speaking and I’m highly competent in using Microsoft Office programs. The 17 Microsoft Office computer classes (eight-hour courses) I took with New Horizon Computer Center gave me confidence to design the many forms we used in Purchasing, and track bid savings.

I will do an excellent job for you with enthusiasm, integrity and confidence.
