Profile:

An enthusiastic and dedicated security project manager with extensive operational and project management expertise in Iraq, Afghanistan and MENA Region, I have been personally responsible for the introduction of several key strategic defence and technical intelligence projects to specialist units within the Armed Forces. I have assisted several UK governmental agencies as an advisor and subject matter expert on large-scale force protection projects.

Since leaving the Armed Forces in 2010, I have specialised in the field of Operational Consultancy within the private security sector, focused primarily on the MENA region. I have been responsible for the planning, implementation and development of numerous programmes in this region, including for the international media, large multinationals, and INGOs. I have led on the inception and management of several large risk management programmes for INGO projects in Afghanistan and Iraq, and have extensive working knowledge of the Afghanistan Public Protection Force (APPF) and relevant legislation relating to risk management services in Afghanistan.

British Army Training Officer and Personnel Manager

On completion of Postgraduate Officer Training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, I specialised in the fields of Covert Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures. Experience of Equipment Capability and Defence Projects includes the trialling of CORTEZ, LIVINGSTONE and DEWDROP Dismounted Force Protection Sensor equipment.

Operated in a wide range of countries, as part of both British and multinational contingents, often teaching and mentoring other nations through the application of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.

Instructed soldiers and officers at all levels in a range of military and political subjects, developing mental and physical skills, directly improving unit cohesion and performance of up to 120 personnel in a 6-month period. 75% of these soldiers deployed on operations within the year as a result of the training received, directly adding to operational effectiveness of the British Army.

Added to the infrastructure and training capability of several units by developing and maintaining weapons training facilities.

Improved personal leadership skills in peers and subordinates through the planning, delivery and operation of adventurous pursuits and expeditions, making use of my range of qualifications.

Deputised on several occasions, working two levels above my position and rank.
