Have worked effectively in a team but also proficient in working without direct clinical supervision and able to manage own caseload. Clinical Work Experience
Counselling – experience of basic counselling within occupational health setting – appropriate onward referral to Employee Assistance Programme or to Occupational Physician.
Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessor – including assessment of and advice to staff reporting any physical discomfort associated, or potentially associated with workstation use.
First Aid – emergency first aid as required at client sites.
Hand Arm Vibration – I have much experience in performing HAVS assessment including managing a HAVS programme for approximately 2000 employees throughout the North East of Scotland and Tayside.
Health Promotion – comprehensive lifestyle medicals including health promotion advice. Sourcing and distribution of health promotion materials. Health promotion activities for clients within industrial settings
Medicals – pre-employment, fork lift truck drivers. Clinical investigations including spirometry, phlebotomy, audiometry, vision screening and drug testing.

Sickness Absence – monitoring sickness absence within client companies, liaising with appropriate support services to help facilitate early return to work, modification of workplace, organisation of appropriate assistance/support etc.
Management
Worked as Senior Occupational Health Nurse for a number of years within an extensive occupational health team. Responsible for team performance and developing plans to deliver to the required performance level.
Involvement in setting and reviewing of policies and standards.
Capable of liaising with external service providers and ensuring quality, best practice and standards always met.
Administration
Broad experience of general administration including typing, filing, answering telephone, maintaining accurate medical notes, ensuring safe and secure storage of confidential medical documents.
Excellent touch typist.
Good basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
