Responsible for the design collaboration, repair and manufacture of custom pulling units, derricks and other oil field equipment in the shop as well as field work. Troubleshoot, recognize, and implement a safe plan to correct structural deficiencies, improper setup, or unacceptable environmental conditions in emergency situations while preserving equipment and assets. Work sometimes included welding on exotic metals, e.g. stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, brazing and other alloys. Working at locations over 100 ft. was sometimes required.
