Job Involve:

Provides support to project Site teams by managing the resolution of engineering related issues and tasks. Works with design reviewers to identify issues through the design review process and modify the design as per site requirements . Works with project management teams to resolve issues / comments.

Conducting meetings with the contractors and the client’s representatives and defining the road map for the completion of the project in a pre- defined target period. Provide technical support for request for proposals, contracts, specifications, preliminaries and variations.

During the construction phase; review Engineering design submissions reports, calculations, cost estimates, quantity surveys, drawings and specifications for conformance with the contract, scope and budget. Assist in reviewing, approve and process all Engineering technical submittals. Review, on the client's behalf, Submittals and Request for Information (RFI), method statements.

As built drawings and O & M manuals, that apply to Engineering works for adequacy. Review sub-contractors' claims related to Engineering works and prepare recommendations for claims approval or rejection. Assist in negotiations with sub-contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules.

To Prepare route path for the commissioning of the work. Verify the commissioning process in proceeding as planned Perform reviews of work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Record changes on site and Review markup drawings / as-built drawings. Monitor contractor's progress on site. Check/ watch safety on site and report incidents immediately.

Custodian of Shop drawings (Electrical), construction drawings, samples and material submittals. Initiate/ generate NCR’s, Site instructions, Site Notes and other Site Observations.

Visit Factories/ plant, witness tests conducted on equipment’s such as LV panels, SMDB, DB, MCC, Generator etc. Carry out regular site inspections to determine that all electrical works complies with approved drawings and/or local authorities’ and international codes & regulations, and Submits all the information in the form of weekly report to RE and SRE (Electrical).

Co-ordinate MEP/ Architectural inspections wherever necessary/ required. Check site manpower/ resource/ plant/ machinery on site as required.

Inspects material received at site and advices the storage of such material. Inspects and witnesses the commissioning of all the electrical, low current, and Fire alarm systems. Inspects and witnesses the cause and effect process and other building safety process. Investigates alleged violations of Construction Code and related ordinances.

Keep a copy of site related documents for site uses. Accurately read and comprehend construction plans . Attends meetings with Contractors’, other discipline consultants and architects’ to solve construction related problems. Detect possible defects and faults in electrical systems and recommend or stipulate appropriate remedial measures.

Routine Activities –working as Sr. Electrical Engineer in Consultant Company . Investigates alleged violations of construction code and issues NCR’s. Advises contractors and others on various installations problems in the form of Field Instructions.
