PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Central Office Technician, Verizon, Lexington Park, MD (1999 – 2016)
■ Provided full-range of technical support that included: installations, performing routine maintenance, analyzing defects, tests, adjustments, repairs and maintains for complex equipment such as switching systems, circuit equipment, network terminal equipment and data/digital equipment using electrical and or electronic measuring devices ■ Updated work and maintenance logs through WFA and FOMS databases.
■ Worked inside a central office (CO) to install, remove and maintain the complex switching and routing equipment used in voice, video, fiber optics and data telecommunications networks ■ Responsible for the provisioning and maintenance of Central Office equipment including, but not limited to subscriber loop carrier systems, DSL, POTS, digital and optical muxes ■ Worked on various styles of mainframes which required proficiency using several types of wire connecting techniques, including soldering, wrapping, and punch down. Occasionally required to harness/unharness equipment wiring in order to effectively troubleshoot.
