CNC Machinist
Parts Production: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture sprockets, gears, and components for customers of one of the world’s largest manufacturers. Read and interpret work orders and engineering specifications to ensure parts meet customers’ designated requirements. Produce customers’ made-to-order (MTO) parts and components which may be used in power transmission, conveyor, pulley, and other industrial systems.
Raw Materials: Set up and operate 6 Marvel band saws simultaneously to prepare and cut raw materials for the next stage of production. Cut cast iron, hot rolled steel (1026 hardness), cold rolled steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum/bronze (50-50 mix), bronze, and plastic.
Equipment:
oMills/Lathes: Operate CNC mills and lathes manufactured by Mori Seiki, Doosan, and other companies.
oSaws: Inspect finished parts to determine quality of finished cut. When finished cut appears rough, remove existing saw blade and replace it with a new saw blade. Move used saw blades to the recycling hopper.
oMaintenance: Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment to comply with manufacturers’ maintenance specifications.
Achievements:
Revenues/Profits: Consistently meet and exceed company productivity requirements presented to me during my performance reviews by my Supervisor every 90 days.
WILLIAMS DIRT WORK, Winters, Texas 1/10 – 12/13
Farmer/Harvester
Farm Operations: Planted and harvested maize, wheat, and cotton for a farmer with a 2,500 acre farm in the Abilene/San Angelo area. Cleaned and maintained the farm land. Seasonal work.
WILSON TRAILERS, Anson, Texas 1/12 – 1/13
Welder
Production: Welded and built Easley brand livestock trailers for a subcontractor of Easley. Built trailers from 16 feet to 32 feet long. Read and interpreted construction plans to ensure finished trailers met company standards. Performed Mig (Fluxcore/Hardwire) and Stick welding.
DIRECT TV, Abilene, Texas 8/03 – 12/12
Satellite Technician
Installation/Maintenance: Installed satellite television systems for residential and commercial customers in the Abilene and San Angelo area. Read and interpreted work orders for simple and complex television systems. Installed telephone lines to meet service requirements. Following storms and service outages, inspected, repaired, replaced, and/or maintained defective satellite dishes, receivers, and cable lines. Closed out finished orders with the Sales/Activation department.
