05/2014- present Extrusion Operator
As an extrusion operator I worked in a clean room manufacturing area to produce medical grade rubber tubing. I operated a two roll mill as well as an extruder machine. These operations required me to do many set-ups which involved numerous mathematical calculations to produce a quality product. Set-ups involved changing of mandrel’s for precision ID diameters and Die changes for precise OD diameters. I had to be proficient in all paperwork and written work orders to ensure product was in exact specification without any non-conformances. Visual inspection as well as packaging of final product was also part of the process. Several machines and measuring devices were utilized such as inkers, off-line cutters, sonotrol devices, conveyors, scales, sealers, measuring tape, calipers, micrometers and many hand tools for change overs and machine adjustments. I’m also a proficient forklift driver with license and warehouse experience.

I operated highly technical CNC machinery in the cell assembly dept. I was responsible for the set-up and operation of phase 1 to produce lithium ion battery cell packs. The use of robotic technology was highly utilized in this area. Housekeeping and quality control measures were strongly prioritized in this clean room environment.

As a clean room tech my responsibilities included proper gowning procedure to ensure no contamination of products. Packaging of poly silicone to precise size and weight to meet and exceed customer expectation. Duties also included inspection of material for any defects or non-conformance’s and proper procedure for handling such situation. The clean room tech was also responsible for accurate labeling with an eye for detail and paying close attention to work orders.

I operated a forklift to remove new manufactured tires from the production area to the warehouse for storage or shipping dept. This was a very fast paced environment that required speed and accuracy. The proficiency of the forklift operator was a must; drivers had to target moving pallets of tires as it moved along a towline that was constantly being loaded with new tires. Other operations as a warehouseman included shipping and receiving, tailgating, stockers & pickers and assemblers.

As a metal cutter operator I was required to show an extreme level of accuracy for the set-up of all machine functions of the metal cutter to achieve precise dimensions of the engine lifter. This operation involved the set-up of 12 different cutting tools 4 at each of the 12 stations for a total of 48 tools per cycle. This required tool set-ups, gauging, tool changes, adjustments of machine fixtures such as shimming of v-blocks and replacing of bushings, size adjustments, machine lubrication, recovering of machine malfunction and monitoring machine processes for quality control.

As an ID grinder I was responsible for the engine lifter inside diameter to ensure parts were properly ground to precise specifications according to control plans. I also performed wheel changes, gauging and visual inspections. I operated 6 grinders at a time, loading, unloading adjusting machine functions while maintaining quality and production.
