Processing Company. The Taganito High Pressure Acid Leach Nickel Corporation

(THPAL) in Taganito, Claver, Surigao del Norte Philippines. A multi-billion dollar

Actual Duties and Responsibilities

● Report Directly to HSE Manager and Plant Manager

●Check and monitor all Fire Fighting Equipment of the company. Plan

maintenance programs of fire trucks.

● Check and maintains emergency vehicles of the company like the ambulance

● Attend meetings at vessel during unloading of Sulfuric acid / Methanol and

other activities at wharf and conduct safety monitoring and inspection before

discharging.

● Conduct investigation and report all accident / incident and near miss during

the operation.

● Attend coordination meeting when needed.

● Enforce strict compliance of safety rules and regulations during the operation

and shutdowns.

● Ensure to implement the project safety plan by conducting:

 Safety orientation to all workers / employees or visitors before they are allowed to

work inside plant premises.

 A Daily toolbox talk, exercise, & ensures KY is prepared.

 Checking and monitoring of correct PPE compliance.

 Proper housekeeping at all times.

 Monitor the safe use of Hazardous Substances.

 Monthly inspection of wire ropes for cranes ( overhead and mobile )

 Monthly inspections of web slings

 Monthly inspection of fire hydrants its components and quarterly hydrotesting.

 Monthly inspection of conveyors emergency pull cord.

 Monthly inspection of noise sampling

 Monthly inspection of emergency eyewash and showers

 Monthly inspection of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCABA)

 Monthly inspection of emergency equipment s ( spine board, first aid kit,

emergency cabinets)
