Pipeline Solutions Analyst/GIS Tech I

Responsible for monitoring and surveillance, through remote sensing, of oil and natural gas pipelines located around the world on behalf of major oil companies. Investigation of adverse events to the pipelines within prescribed operational parameters, including real time follow-up with oil companies, where faults are detected. Analysis of base data in preparation for data conversion to GE management information systems, enabling risk analysis and mitigation to ensure pipeline integrity. Create control points and station series for pipelines through interpretation of Auto Cad design blueprints. Edit subsea pipeline centerlines provided by client to fall within 3 meters of all ROV points. Found stationing for ROV data so that it could be accurately uploaded within the GIS database. Loaded, analyzed, and manipulated data into the APDM database using GE GIS tools of PVAG and PVI. Prepare data through data conversion of Pipeline reports to be used by GE’s pipeline integrity product, PipeView for ArcGIS (includes CAD conversion). QA/QC of data.
