Mechanical Engineering Management

I am part of engineering team and my responsibilities included:

Working on the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of mechanical specialty package equipment of for three Encana Natural gas compression and refrigeration plants.

Responsible for the control and execution for these multiple mechanical packaged equipment from technical aspects and project management.

Prepare, review and approve of bid packages, specifications, engineering drawings, work packages and quality plans, project execution plans, design basis memoranda and other project documents.

Work closely with Project Controls, HSE, Procurement, Operations, Construction and other disciplines to facilitate project execution and resolve project issues;

Manage project management processes, including design, cost estimates, reporting, and construction efforts.

Participate in DBM, cost estimate, schedule preparation and detailed engineering and construction package preparation for the three plants.

Engineering management activities with multidiscipline’s and participate in; quality, HAZOP reviews, model, P&ID reviews to ensure that project specifications, turnover and operational considerations have been satisfied.

Lead, drive, coach, mentor and motivate project team and influence them towards project milestones and success.

Monitor progress of contracts, attend site visits and vendor shop visits to witness Functional test activities, schedule progress meetings, risk mitigation plans.

Worked on projects for large, medium and mobile power transformers for Manitoba Hydro, MEG energy, Hyrdro One and BC Hydro from design to commissioning.

Managed the engineering meetings in product design cycle with design, manufacturing and production teams.

Worked as mechanical lead for several projects that involved Fire truck design and mechanical components inside a fire truck typically chassis, pump packages, water tanks, foam systems, Hydraulic ladder systems.
