I was employed as Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Manager at a Glass manufacturer in the West Midlands. I was responsible for retaining the Quality systems to ISO 9001 and Kitemark registration.

Position – Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Manager
I was employed as Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Manager at a small Aluminium Gravity Die and sand casting manufacturer in the West Midlands. I am responsible for maintaining ISO 9001 registration, dealing with the requirements of the PPC agreement with the local authority and all health and safety requirements of the company.

Position - Health and Safety Advisor & Environmental Representative
I was employed as Health and Safety Advisor and Environmental Representative at a large iron foundry and plastic injection moulders in the West Midlands. I was responsible for developing procedure manuals for health and safety (OHAS 18001) and environmental standards (ISO 14001) and achieving registration with BSI. I assessed and reviewed new and current legislation for health & safety and environment and reported its impact on the company to the directors.
I was also responsible for reporting to the council on number of issues such as waste, emission monitoring results, management of site risks, raw material inventory and energy consumption as part of the company PPC agreement.
I investigated any reportable accidents and near misses, attended works safety meetings and investigated any concerns raised, completed risk assessments, fire risk assessments approved by the West Midlands Fire Authority, COSHH assessments and trained new starters in manual handling techniques.
I also audited the quality, environmental and health & safety procedures for compliance to the relevant standards.
Before developing ISO 14001 & OHAS 18001, I helped develop the company water component testing facilities and procedures to BS 17025 which enabled the company to test components such as syphons, inlet and outlet valves, cisterns and pans to Regulators specifications for the Water Research Council.

Position - Quality Assurance and Health & Safety Manager
I was employed as Quality Assurance Manager at a medium sized plastic injection moulding company in the West Midlands. I was responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures for the company to achieve registration to BS 5750 Part 2 (later ISO 9002 and now ISO 9001). I was also responsible for production quality, goods inward inspection, customer investigation reports, initial inspection reports, calibration and internal auditing.
During my employment at the company the group board decided to focus on health & safety reducing absenteeism and accidents in the work place, I accepted the responsibility of developing procedures and investigating injuries and compiling analysis of different types of accident and reported the analysis to the group board.
I also achieved ISOH Managing Safety during my employment at this company.
Tucker Fasteners Ltd - January 1986 - December 1987
Position - Senior Quality Engineer
I was employed as Senior Quality Engineer at a large engineering company in Birmingham. I was responsible to Quality Assurance Manager for two satellite production sites ensuring that procedures developed in attaining BS 5750 Part 1 and Ford Q 101 preferred supplier were maintained, improved and updated as necessary.
The company achieved approval for BS 5750 and Ford Q 101 during my employment.
Deport Harper Foundries Ltd. - April 1977 - December 1986
Position - Foundry Technologist
I was employed as foundry technologist at a large iron foundry in the West Midlands. I was responsible for production quality, inspection and analysis of production scrap, dealing with customer complaints and ordering and testing of raw materials.
I was also involved in the introduction and implementation of Statistical Process Control, including F.M.E.A., Attribute Charts and Process Control Sheets to ensure that the company was a preferred supplier to Ford Motor Company.
