I currently manage a Junior Football Team (Winton Juniors under 10’s). I have a coaching badge from the FA that enables me to coach children, along with a relevant first aid certificate and a clear, up to date enhanced DRB check, from this role I have gained many key transferable skills, such as, management skills, negotiation skills, necessary to get the team from A to B for a prearranged time and ensuring that parents clean any kit in time for the next match, enhanced communication skills gained whilst dealing with many different levels of personnel, for example, kids, their parents, referees and opposing managers, along with problem solving, for example, when kids do not turn up for matches, I ensure that I have enough substitutes to play and win the game.
