I have a very broad background in both Automotive and Aerospace Manufacturing with emphasis on precisio
tool making and CNC automation. I am as comfortable selecting the proper coolant, cutters, the latest CAM
software or anything in between. I am as adept at running a Bridgeport mill as creating multi axis NC programs
everything from wire EDM machines to 6 axis abrasive waterjets, machining materials such as Aluminum to
Titanium to Carbon Fiber Composites, In short, my careers in manufacturing have immersed me from bottom to
top in many diverse segments and occupations.

Senior Tooling Engineer/CNC Coordinator at NORDAM
June 1999 - June 2016 (17 years)
Senior Tooling Engineer with background in Operation, Training, Programming, and
Project Management in CNC machinery and associated processes.
Applies innovative approach to CNC applications, including machine specification, and
custom CAD/CAM software solutions. Troubleshoots machine and software issues, and
coordinates new product development and programming.
NORDAM Work Summary and Accomplishments
Project Manager for the first 5 axis Waterjet/5 axis Router, Composite Machining Center
in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This machine also incorporated the first Universal Holding Fixture (UHF)
in Oklahoma. Responsibilities included facility design, machine specification, Software
selection. Organized committee to interview, hire, and training of CNC Operators.
Create CNC programs using CATIA V5, and was instrumental in acquiring and
implementing CATIA based Cenit FlowTrim software for use with Waterjet/Router Composite
Machining Center.
Project manager for a new internal process, using selected vendor Flow Robotics to
create the first machine specifically design to drill acoustic patterns in CFC bonded assemblies.
(Now known as DualDrill) Responsibilities included machine specification, Software
selection, and interview, hire, and training of CNC Operators.
Wrote a specification, in conjunction with selected vendor CENIT North America, for a
CATIA based Cenit V5 DualDrill programming software used to create programs for the
DualDrill acoustic drilling machine. Part appearance and quality were greatly improved and
cycle times were decreased by over 50% of previous method.
Responsible for Technical Specifications for the 5 axis Onsrud Router. Responsibilities
included CNC specifications, Renishaw probe software selection, and Tooling specifications.
Liaison with Tooling/Manufacturing on all issues involving Tooling/Machine vendors.
Worked closely with Maintenance on issues involving machine installations and problem
trouble shooting. In many cases this allowed resolving the issue without an in-house service
call from the Vendor. Vendor service calls typically charge $2000-$3000 per day.
Coordinate and assist Tool Design on part fixture designs for tooling for all CNC
machines.
Estimate set up and run times for budget/ROI purposes.
Coordinate Programming Software changes/updates with IT.
Write work instructions for Manufacturing involving CNC processes.
