ROLE: RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Customer Experience Analytics & Prediction via Social Media -A web application tool capable performing data analytics (big data) on Real-time Twitter stream, to analyze the user’s categories of interest. The objective was targeted to the airline industry to improve their inflight customer service for a frequent flyer.

Involved in all the phases of SDLC including Requirements Collection, Design & Analysis of

the Customer Specifications, Development and Customization of the Application.

Analytics of the Twitter data i.e. filtering of users and their interests where done using Python.

Using the result of analytics, we built a Recommendation system in R to help us get improved understanding of the customer’s likes/dislikes.

Used AngularJs, HTML 5 along with REST API for web application.

Provided user documentation, Training and Production support as part of the Implementation.

K-MEANS CLUSTERING AND SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINES (R, LIBSVM)

Displayed the images after data compression using K-means clustering for different values of K and the compression ratios are computed for different values of K. Compared the relation between the image quality and the degree of compression.

INDUCING DECISION TREES (WEKA DATA MINING SOFTWARE, JAVA)

Implemented the ID3 algorithm for building the Decision Tree classifier and computed the best attribute at each level of the tree by using the Information gain and Variance Impurity heuristics. Implemented post-pruning algorithm to improve the accuracy of the classifier on the test-set.

Developed a peer-to-peer file system which consists of a set of autonomous computers that act as a distributed repository of files and designed a user interface that allows participating computers to search for and download files from each other

Designed and developed flood max algorithm for selecting the leader in a synchronous network. Established reliable socket connections between nodes and application protocol messages are sent over these connections.

Android application to allow automatic synchronization of any kind of files between cloud, laptop and an android phone using Socket programming.

IDENTIFICATION AND TRACKING OF HOSPITAL ASSETS USING RFID (C++, JSP, MongoDB)

Designed and developed a fully-fledged automated system with the capability of combining both hardware and software for efficient tracking of hospital assets not just limited to equipment’s. A web application with a user friendly front end for the administrator or the user of system to work with.

SMART HOUSE AUTOMATION SYSTEM (JSP, JavaScript, HTML)

SHAS is a simulation environment designed to test various SHAS devices and interfaces. Implemented the system to study the Scrum practices such as Daily Scrum meeting, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospective. We created the scrum artifacts such as Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Task Board and used Burn down Charts for the project status.

HANDY MAN (Angular JS framework with Spring MVC, SQL)

Designed and developed a web application that helps both the house owner and the maintenance crew to find each other easily. We searched based on location or price of hiring a repair crew to work at your house, also we included pre booking of a service using PayPal.

METER JAM (Java, Android, MYSQL.)

Android application to predict cab and bus fares. Capable of achieving real time prediction based on GPS tracking along with the option to edit and add fares to the personal in-mobile database.
