I am very experienced in all aspects of ground working, with extensive expertise in the laying of many different types of underground pipe work. Always willing to take responsibility, I have excellent communication skills i.e my time as a Ganger Foreman meant that I had to balance the concerns of both management and the men under my charge. I therefore can work efficiently within the team environment and have also demonstrated the ability to complete tasks on my own initiative on a daily basis. Specialized work included being familiar with toolbox talks and the application of Health and Safety procedures. My experience working on construction sites has also emphasised the importance of producing high quality work within specified time limits. I have therefore the ability to quickly learn new procedures and work under pressure. As my profile is mainly construction based I was a locomotive tracklayer for the NCB Murton Colliery for fifteen years. As for factory work, I was a Caterpillar truck fitter at Caterpillar, Peterlee.
