I am sixty years of age and took early retirement at the end of April this year, after twenty six years service as a Driving Examiner for DVSA Dept. of Transport, conducting driving tests for motorcycle, car, lorry and bus catergories, assessing candidates who wish to obtain a full driving licence for that vehicle, driving to a standard as per goverment guidelines when taking there driving test.

I have worked for the past forty five years, on leaving school I did an apprenticeship with the London Borough of Barnet as an Auto Electrician on commercial vehicles City & Guilds qualified, but have not done that type of work for over thirty years.

Since working for the London Borough of Barnet, I have worked as an engine tester for Perkins Engines (P'boro), done lorry and bus/coach driving and have also managed a van and truck rental office (Wheels) Barnet, and a car rental office (Brittania) on the Euston Road London hiring out prestige and up-market vehicles.

As you can see from the above I have worked around motor vehicles and driving all my working life.
