Led the successful design, development and implementation of integrated population health and wellness management programs, including the first web-based Caribbean and Latin American Renal Registry, a robust, region-wide chronic disease surveillance tool. (2010)

Led teams in U.S., India, and the Caribbean to design the EHP™ model for Health Consumer Activation. This tool for healthy lifestyle modification achieved better compliance with discharge orders, medication compliance, and healthier behavior. (2011)

Partnered with health information technologists and professionals in multiple regions to:

Research, design, and pilot an HIV and AIDS registry in Uganda. (2012)

Address diabetes and obesity through public health informatics, population health management and wellness solutions we proposed to health officials at King Fahad Medical City, Saudi Arabia. (2011)

Senior Public Health Adviser, Human-Centered Design

Collaborate with researchers across disciplines to create and implement solutions to enhance community and population health and wellness management initiatives, locally and internationally.

Employ human centered-design methods to engage Minnesota youth in a meaningful and respectful way to co-create a safe space for a 2017 youth-led summit to discuss in depth the issues that matter the most to the youth in Minnesota, including mental health, school violence, youth homelessness, closing achievement gap, and police brutality.

Design state wide survey to capture the voices the youth in Minnesota and engage various stakeholders to organize a Minnesota youth-led summit.

Collaborate with Allina Health to research, design and implement Partnership for Innovations in Children’s Health project aimed at improving children’s health, wellbeing in New Ulm, Minnesota.

Director, Caribbean & Latin America Initiatives

Oversaw all operations of the Caribbean & Latin America Research Interest Group. Led business strategy and collaborate with stakeholders. Enhance the web-based Caribbean Renal Registry and the region’s evidence-based public health practices and research.

Established and led collaboration with public health officials, faculty, the Caribbean Institute of nephrology, and the Caribbean business community that resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of the West Indies and the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. The effort promoted public health research, exchanges of students and faculty, and capacity building in key areas.

Collaborated with the United States Renal Data System to query end stage renal health data to examine clinical data and generate annual reports.

Facilitated exchange of ideas with faculty at the University of the West Indies on current research and trends related to such health topics as diabetes, hypertension, social determinants of health, etc.

Epimap247, Inc. 2014 – Present

Co-founder

Led research, development of a Mobile Application (epimap247), a real-time Epidemic and Pandemic Alert and Response System (EPR) that gathers accurate, up-to-date, real time, and relevant human and animal health data through interactive voice response (IVR), SMS and photographs to track and prevent deadly outbreaks such as Ebola.

Lead strategic collaboration with Minnesota African Ebola Task force and local Non for profit organizations including American Refugee Committee

Provide pro bono technical assistance to Minnesota African Ebola Task force

Design dynamic and effective Mobile Application to connect Minnesota African Ebola Task force to relevant development and humanitarian agencies in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

Medtronic Foundation March 2015 – May 2015

Consultant - MN Taskforce Ebola Grant – Third Party Contractor

Represented Medtronic foundation in all pertinent meetings with the Ebola Taskforce, including weekly planning meetings of the Taskforce when the agenda warrants it.

Served as the main contact point between Medtronic and the Taskforce.

Conducted a thorough third party due diligence of the needs of the Taskforce related to Ebola efforts in the Twin Cities.
