Richland Center Foundry LLC - Richland Center, Wisconsin June 2007 – April 2015
President and Chief Executive Officer:
Managed a mid-size, $22M Gray and Ductile Iron jobbing foundry serving end users such as Caterpillar, Twin Disc, Cummins, and GE Waukesha among others. The product is 100% for sale to end users. RCF is a union shop of 110 plus employees producing multiple iron grades in both the Green Sand and Chemically bonded molding systems. All functional areas as well as finance and sales & marketing reported to me in this position. Richland became the first domestic foundry to receive the Caterpillar Transmission business SQEP quality and delivery certification at the bronze level. The company grew from $7M in revenue to $22M in revenue while reducing its dependence on the largest customer from over 50% to 32%. Internal scrap and customer return levels fell and on time delivery % improved.
Prospect Foundry LLC – Minneapolis, Minnesota January 2010 – November 2013
During the 2010 – 2013 this facility also reported to me in the role of President and CEO as well. Prospect is a producer of castings in both Gray and Ductile iron through the green sand molding process. Product is 100% for sale. This facility is a union shop as well as at Richland Center. Prospect had revenues of $24M and was another of the Guard Hill Holdings companies.
The roles in both companies included development of operating budgets, market goals and sales analysis as well as the search for staff to fill openings and plans for capital expenditures.

Foundry Manager
Managed a small Iron, Bronze, Steel and Nickel Base alloy foundry supporting a product line in the fluid measuring device market for petrochemical applications. Union shop with captive machine shop and a limited number of non-captive customers. Functions included oversight of casting quotation, manufacturing, delivery and quality related issues. Served on the company bargaining committee as well. During my time the company changed hands in ownership from Bullard DeVlieg, to Tyco, to Precision Castparts.
Aurora Industries - Montgomery, Illinois January 1991 – April 1995
Foundry Manager
Managed the casting production areas of a mid-size, $30M brass/bronze and stainless steel vacuum die caster and sand mold foundry. Responsibilities included all facets and areas of production serving a captive machine shop in the primary production of pump impellers for fluid handling applications. Direct involvement with all questions involving the machining, engineering, and quotation of castings consumed by the captive machine shop. This was a union environment.
Northern Stainless Corporation - Pewaukee, Wisconsin September 1986 – January 1991

Start-up business involved in the production of stainless steel and alloy castings produced in chemically bonded molds. Responsibilities included layout and equipment acquisition, customer contact and product quotation as well as manufacturing recipes and process management.
Port Shell Molding - Pewaukee, Wisconsin September 1984 – September 1986
Plant Engineer
Small bronze casting manufacturer utilizing both the shell mold and green sand molding processes. Company wished to exit the green sand molding portion of the business and re-configure the facility for production of shell mold produced castings only. My responsibilities were to execute this plan for the facility and equipment requirements.
Gartland Foundries - Waukesha, Wisconsin January 1979 – September 1984
Production Foreman
Manufacturer of alloy iron and stainless steel wear items for the paper industry as well as a small portion of the production being dedicated to non-exclusive customers in a jobbing environment. This was a training environment and I spent time in each of the production departments as well as maintenance and in quoting and sales.
