EDUCATION:
Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago IL
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering Anticipated graduation: December 2016
Focus: Food and Nutritional Engineering
Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, Chicago IL Graduated: May 2012 (Honors)
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Licensed Pharmacy Technician May 2015-present
Walgreens Pharmacy, Chicago IL
Lead pharmacist and coworkers to establish a satisfactory and efficient workflow by maintaining a safe and clean workplace
Take and write prescriptions over the phone for the pharmacist for patients.
Fill prescriptions in a timely manner to meet corporate goals of verified by promised times; verified promise times increased
from 50% to 95%, while ensuring safety and accuracy of dispensed medications.
Troubleshoot insurance delays with insurance companies and discuss options with patients which lead to customer service
reviews increasing from 38% to 85%.
Take in and sort daily orders of medications from various vendors in a timely manner which allowed for more time to complete
the daily procedures.
Place orders for special order medications and ensure they are dispensed to the patient in a timely manner.
Manage a bay in the pharmacy that is checked monthly to ensure all of the medication is up-to-date.
The Urban Agricultural Development of Downtown Waukegan, IL
Interprofessional Projects Program (IPRO)
Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago IL September 2016-presnet
Redeveloping a sizable area of existing real estate very close to the downtown of Waukegan, IL
Creating from the domain of possibility whilst remaining focused on achievable-attainable and realistic outcomes-in-time
Using-leveraging all that can be counted (time, money, resources) in the service of the subject of innovation
Leveraging team members to complete upcoming tasks
Leader of the team of energy efficiency- exploring the processes of shale and coal-bed methane and extracting it from Lake
Michigan
Senior Project (Chemical Engineering)- Team member September 2015-May 2016
Synthesis of Dimethyl Ether from Natural Gas
Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago IL
Assisted in a group of seven seniors to simulate the process to complete the project in a 16 week period.
Head of regulating work and ensuring the team worked effectively by editing and proofreading all of the research and reports to
be submitted.
Conducted an in depth research of the process of methanol synthesis which was modeled and simulated using ASPEN HYSYS
and Matlab, as well as several case studies
Explored the options of heat exchangers in a series or in parallel to achieve a high conversion of methane, which was 99% in
purity and the expected goal was 98% methanol conversion.
Economic analysis to determine profitability of plant design based off of product costs and cost to run the plant with a net
present value of $632.4 million.
Practiced safety and assessed risks in accordance with HSSE as well as environmental safety
Product Development and Process Design Engineer- Leader January 2015-May 2015
Interprofessional Projects Program (IPRO)
Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago IL
Lead a team of four members which included: a chemical engineer, mechanical engineer, communications major, and a
biomedical engineer and explored the Engineering themes of Water, Security, Energy, and Health.
Proposed and designed a product that would allow for the development of a safe automated rocking baby bed.
Designed several prototypes that were tested and judged by supervising engineers; we were the only team among the other
teams that developed a complete, functional prototype.
Implemented strong problem-solving skills and research skills to ensure a satisfactory product and conducted a profitability
analysis and risk assessment over the first year of the products life.
Presented final product in front of a panel of professional engineers and a panel of students in thirty seconds and answered
questions afterward at IPRO Day; we were approached to have the innovation sponsored.
