The reduction of burglaries in the Squaw Peak Precinct high crime area.

CITY OF PHOENIX MAYOR’S AWARD MAY 1982 The apprehension of a notorious burglar, who was later used as an informant to solve other crimes in a high rent district of the cities of Phoenix and Scottsdale.

CHIEF OF POLICE AWARD JAN 1985

A comprehensive investigation, which resulted in the apprehension of a drug dealer that

ended Pablo Escobar’s attempt to deal cocaine in the Metro Phoenix area.

TOP STUDENT AWARD D.A.R.E AMERICA 1998

As the result of being the top student of a class of Police Officers preparing to teach the

D.A.R.E program in valley schools.

A.T.F. DIRECTOR’S NATIONAL AWARD 1999

The result of being part of a group of Phoenix Police Officers who implemented the Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T.) program, which later became a national anti gang program, an effective gang and violence prevention program built around school-based, law enforcement officer-instructed classroom curricula. The Program was intended as an immunization against delinquency, youth violence, and gang membership for children in the years immediately before the prime ages for introduction into gangs and delinquent behavior.
