IMAGE DENOISING USING MEDIAN FILTER

The aim of project is to develop an efficient noise suppression technique is required before subsequent image processing operations. Median filter (MF) is widely used in impulse noise removal methods due to its de noising capability and computational efficiency. This noisy image is transformed to frequency domain by using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). Then apply a median filter to transformed image to remove salt and pepper noise in a digital image. Our project is done in Matlab 7 with the help of GUI interface.
