EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
Senior Process Engineer, Small Scale LNG plants, General Electric, Schertz TX April 2015-July 2016
Developed market intelligence and proposed new product line with many potential clients
Provided strong foundation for market studies and sales leads by facilitating database with USA LNG market information to management. Included LNG plants, contacts, technologies used, plant sizes, etc.
Arranged financial information and designs to provide budget quotes of plants in different sizes and options in a quick manner
Advised implementation of recognized top construction safety practices for Schertz plant with specific actions to reduce level of accidents in plant.
Advised the use of a large scale technology for larger projects to consider economies of scale.
Cost Out New Product Introduction Project
Set up plan to reduce 6 million dollars in costs in model plant, and 10 million dollars in scope reduction at a 50 million dollars plant. Suggested smaller scope projects to management, which led to a possible billion dollar contract. Concepts could save more than 54 million dollars to project
Development of pressure vessel and cold box specifications to meet PHMSA and FERC requirements
FLNG New Product Introduction Project
Minimized total area of topsides by providing advice in process and refrigerants selection.
Introduced offshore and marine classification standards to Schertz, new API standards have improved GOM hurricane/metocean considerations
Organized visit of Lloyds Register, American Bureau of Shipping and DNV-GL and reviewed their consulting proposals for assistance during development of FLNG project.
Set up list of project engineering activities for FLNG design that meets marine classification requirements. All engineering disciplines were considered.
Set up project activities to meet ABS’s Approval in Principle requirements, estimated savings over 1 million dollars in consulting fees plus time
Lead Process Engineer, Commonwealth Engineering / Zachry, Houston TX Jun 2013-Aug 2014
Gas to Liquids Revamp Study. Determined equipment modifications to fractionation and hydrocracking sections after replacing Fischer Tropsch multi-tube reactor with a slurry bubble reactor in a 1,500 BPD facility. Generated HYSYS simulation, sized equipment and compared to existing equipment information.
Basic Engineering Study of a 3,000 BPD light and heavy crude CDU and vacuum tower. Developed PFDs, HYSYS simulations, coordination of crude oil lab tests, BEDD. Reviewed seismic data of site and handled relationship with client.
IHI Contract:
-Enterprise Resources project: P&IDs, datasheets, for Enterprise propane loading facility; gathering of up-to-date physicochemical data to size equipment.
-Dominion 750 MMSCFD LNG Cove Point MD project: Review of safety hazard issues. Participated in support activities, review of liquefaction area and advised on underground tanks, dissimilar materials joints, loading/unloading stations, self-refrigerant effect on vessels, settle-in pressure in compressor systems and others. Interacted with various engineering groups. Provided support to help comply with PHMSA and FERC requirements.
