Responsible for delivering quality Health care for all patients treated in the hospital. Doing this by working as part of a multi-skilled nursing/midwifery team and supporting the work of healthcare professionals.

Duties

Assisting in the control of communicable diseases through preventive immunisation programs.

Acting as the first point of contact for patients and their family by answering to their questions as well as listening to their concerns.

Providing First AID and CPR techniques to adults and children in emergency situations.

Caring for women and continous followup of them in their prenatal, labour/delivery and postpartum periods ensuring that risk for developing disorders in this periods be minimised.

Working with other healthcare providers in the immediate care of newborn, infants, children and preventing neonatal complications by so doing ensuring strict infection prevention measures in the hospital setting and in the home.
