Contract Savings Adjustment

Customer Name
General Motors, US
Description
Global Purchasing & Supply Chain (GPSC) has an application called Contract Savings Adjustments (CSA), which is currently hosted in a non-standard EDS production environment. On the current server, CSA is utilizing iPlanet for Windows and a MS SQL Server 7.0 database. On a weekly basis, data is sent from GPS to CSA (via FTP) to support this application. The primary purpose of this data is to validate user entry (part numbers, buyer codes, and duns numbers) or fill drop-down boxes (commodity groups, creativity teams, currencies, vehicle product lines, receiving plants and legal business entities). Authorized users enter/update data in CSA. Each Saturday all data is extracted from the database tables into text files which are then pulled from the server and loaded into Stage A tables by GIF. The current configuration consists of a production and a pre-production server located in the EDS Integrated Lab in Auburn Hills. The objective of this project is migrating the CSA application to a standard hosting environment. The migration is to be conducted in coordination with the GM Hosting services group. The services described in this SOW shall be governed by the subcontract between Electronic Data Systems Corporation and Wipro Limited, dated January 4, 2006. In the event of conflicts between this SOW and the subcontract the subcontract shall take precedence.
