Business System Consultant Manager 2 (Managing BSA’s and Project Manager)

Actively supported applications of Wells Fargo Global Financial Institution leading 13 Business System consultants. Key applications were International Fund Transfer (IFT), Fee Management Systems (FMS), Money Transfer System (MTS), Mainframe (J applications), Workflow, Ops Online and interfacing communication tools e.g. SWIFT, FED, CHIPS. Highlighted support activities included creation of PID, PDD, BRD, Test Plan, Test Scripts, UAT execution, Implementation planning and ‘Go Live’ of all application development projects and Production maintenance (PM) releases. Used Waterfall for Projects and Hybrid Scrum for PM releases. Created the End-to-End Check Clearing Process using Process Six Sigma expertise for Global Check Clearing Dept and developed process document along with the Visio process map duly approved by Sr. Management before publishing bank-wide. Incorporated Lean 5S tool, conducted Time and Motion study of all activities and standardized the expected production rates for various processing roles. Conducted the feasibility study of Check Rationalization project to consolidate six different check/cash item processes into one framework, saving $1.2M annual Operations budget.

Created Customer Information Access Data Base for International Customer Care. Implemented Enterprise Unified Communication (EUC) Project using Agile methodology at State Farm and developed end-to-end support to sustain the real-time business communication across Operation, Contact Center and Agency verticals connecting 168000 UC end points. Some achievements includes:

Created two highly complex end-to-end processes using BPMN to implement Cisco UC telecommunication platform; Enterprise MACD Process (Move-Add- Change-Delete of any Agency/ Contact Center or a group or a single person from one geographic location to another) and Break Fix Process (equipment or establishment damage due to any natural calamity or due to ageing); supporting 168000 UC end points to run Insurance leader profitably. 25+ teams were involved in either of the processes and the task duration was over 3 weeks. With the new process using HPOO (HP Operation Orchestration software) and adding automation, simultaneous task initiation between teams, the new SLA brought down to 10 days only.

Created Test Plan, scripts and executed UAT during deployment. Tracked deployment issues and resolutions. Modifies process to minimize issues.

Developed Training materials, KI’s, Policy documents and Transitioned deliverable to process owners.

Owned the integrity of the solution through customer acceptance and final disposition of solutions to sustain the Net annual Income over $1500M.

Implemented AxiUm Clinical Information System (COTS) in NJ Dental School to bring all departments under one platform eliminating isolated applications used for Operation and Research purposes, (e.g. Orthosoft, SoftDent, ACE, Dolphin etc.). Some notable achievements were:

Prepared all project documents, Project Plan and security documents in a very tight schedule to meet Audit requirement.

Also integrated Dolphin software with EHR in Orthodontics department.

Quality & Process Improvement Manager

Designed, developed and managed the Quality & Audit Department (QA, MIS and Training) for a $65M USDOL Project assigned to process 198000 backlogged Labor Certification cases during post 9/11 era. Some achievements were:

Successfully completed the Backlog Elimination Project within budget and nine months ahead of schedule (17%) by effectively controlling the cost of Quality and automating major decision making steps.

Incorporated DMAIC and continuously improved the quality of Labor Certification case processing; from nearly 2σ to over 5σ in a Six sigma scale.

Being MIS manager, managed four in-house IT projects to creatre tools to support the Backlog Elimination effort; saving approximately $25M in terms of project schedule and Labor Certification quality.

Developed audit processes to measure correctness of Certification, identify root cause of errors, and advised remedial measures to improve productivity and quality as a part of Continuous Improvement Process to eliminate any appeals & grievances from Immigration community. The average annual savings from the Cost of Quality was approximately $3M, totaling about 20% saving of budgeted amount.

Incorporated File Management process, using Poko-Yoko concept to eliminate the loss of physical case files and implemented real time case file tracking, saving almost $8M of the budgeted fund and 10% of work-hour.

Introduced and managed the Individual Incentive Program based on quality and production over standard for all employees involved in production which resulted in improved quality from 61% to 98% and productivity from 37% to 82% over four year period.
