EMPLOYMENT

1.National Independent Evaluation Consultant (Baseline, Midline, End line and Impact )

USAID-Ethiopia Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Service (EPMES) Activities- From October 07

Evaluate the entire evaluation process from the design, data collection and analysis, presentation and report writing;

Following the performance of a data collection and reporting the status to the Team Leader;

Meeting deadlines in accordance with contractual schedule of deliverables;

Ensuring high quality and usefulness of evaluation outputs, given technical expertise in the subject matter being evaluated;

Development of a Base line, Midline and End line Evaluation Design Report and training regime for enumerators.

Participate and contributes to the Team Planning Meeting

Participates in identification of a sampling frame for primary qualitative and/or quantitative data collection during all phases of field work.

Travel to Ethiopia for data collection, including interviews; focus group discussions and Kay Informant Interview with stakeholders and households.

Compilation of project monitoring and government data by liaising with implementing, funding, and government stakeholders.

Participates in the development of evaluation reports at each phase of data collection, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Establishment of daily schedules and plan for data collection phases.

Contributes to the presentation of findings to client upon the finalization and approval of evaluation reports.

2.Baseline Survey Consultant

Re-Biology and Re-Nature Science Research Center - From August 10 to September, 08 2016

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct key informant interview and general Community Discussion;

Assist the organization with recruitment of research participants;

Provide trainings for concerned staffs;

Provide technical support to field staffs on site level;

Designing Data collection tools;

Review the overall performance of the Activities,

Supportive supervision at field level;

Conduct data analysis using statistical tools;

Prepare first and final draft report;

3.Monitoring and Evaluation, and Communication Officer

Agribusiness Support Facility (ABSF) Project– From May 2014 – July 07, 2015

Duties and Responsibility

Develops the M&E system of the ABSF programme;

Leads the successful roll out and implementation of all monitoring and evaluation related initiatives for the ABSF Project;

Prepare planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation manuals,

Provides guidelines and standards for implementation of the ABSF project;

Leads monitoring efforts in the project to ensure full compliance with the predetermined standards;

Prepare TORs for special studies (e.g. Mid-term and Impact evaluation studies);

Develops reporting formats for the ABSF programme;

Ensures that M&E related activities are successfully implemented and that relevant learning is documented, disseminated to staff and used to inform future decisions;

Designs methodologies and formats to collect pertinent information for the ABSF project from inception to completion;

Coordinates the preparation, review and posting of the project reports to the donors and relevant stakeholders if appropriate;

4.Midterm Evaluation Consultant

In British Broad Casts Corporation (BBC)-Ethiopia Media Action Livelihood Project May, 2014.

Duties and Responsibility

As a Moderator, Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and In-Depth Interviews in identified study states within agreed timelines, using agreed guidelines and instruments (e.g. Discussion Guide) provided by BBC Media Action.

As a Recruiter, Recruit agreed number of respondents per focus group discussions for appropriate number of focus groups per study in line with specifications provided.

As a Survey Interviewer, Conduct face to face interviews within households (or designated locations) during surveys, ensuring data collection to high standards and quality.

As a Translator, Translate relevant research study related documents and instruments e.g. Discussion Guides, Questionnaires etc. from English into Amharic

5.M&E Specialist

In Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX), from October 2012 to May, 2014

Duties and Responsibility

Participate with M& E team and management to define the indicators to measure the performance of planning activities;

Analyze of different Commodities Market data using different statistical software and presentation using diagrams, tables, charts, graphs, and interpret the results;

Conducts market data research including pricing and economic trends;

Experience in organizing and coordinating trainings and surveys;

Supervise, coordinate and provide technical support for farmers;

Prepare and timely delivery of the quantitative and qualitative reports for concerned stakeholders;

Undertake trade Projection/forecasting based on evidence based data.

6.Impact Evaluation Consultant - Food Security “Productive Safety Net Program IV Survey”

International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) for two months May to June, 2012

Duties and Responsibility

Participate in TOT to carry out the Food security surveys;

Conduct general Community Discussion;

Assist the organization with recruitment of research participants;

Provide trainings for concerned staffs;

Provide technical support to field staffs on site level;

check whether the field deployment takes place as per the schedule;

Check whether every supervisor and enumerator has made all the corrections or amendments on the survey instruments;

Observe enumerators and supervisors conduct interview using questioners and help correct any mistakes that may occur;

Prepare and timely delivery of the quantitative and qualitative reports.

7.Regional Data Manager
