Duties:

Oversaw 60 drivers on a daily basis. I was responsible for routing drivers, dispatching drivers, oversaw all truck maintenance, as well as trailer maintenance. Oversaw day to day operations. I supervised and directed 25 employees (plus 50 drivers). I managed all maintenance on our facilities, trucks, and trailers. I ran a weekly report of fuel mileage, preventive maintenance as well as regular scheduled maintenance. I was in charge all safety, OSHA and DOT regulations. I put all company policies into place and enforced them. I implemented all employee reviews. I also supervised all transfer docks, warehouse and personnel contained therein. I was in constant contact with our customers. I also established all of our outside vendors as well as contractors. I negotiated all outside and employee contracts as well as freight rates. I was responsible for securing all licenses, permits, and the fuel program. I had a monthly and yearly budget to abide by. I had final say in all matters related to payroll. We were a 48 state carrier. We hauled oversize, cars, and dry freight. I managed all routing. I was in a supervisory position over the safety department and all of said functions of that department. I was responsible for all recruiting, hiring and when necessary, termination of all personnel. I was under strict time management guidelines.
