Dear Sir/Madam,
I am interested in applying for the Licensed Practical Nurse position. I have many years of experience working in some of Boston’s major hospitals like Youville/Spaulding Rehabilitation and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, as well as larger chronic care facilities like Wingate Rehabilitation and Sudbury Pines Extended Care. My experience ranges from medical secretary to floor nurse on several busy chronic care units. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, I am a calm listener and an effective communicator. Working as a nurse for many years, I have had to deal with patients and their families in crisis. My goal as a staff nurse was to prioritize duties to clear as much time for direct patient care and communication with families. I pride myself on my efficiency, dedication, and calm demeanor in a fast paced environment. Above all, I value and strive toward consistency and the highest standards of care and respect for all patients for whom I am responsible. Finally, while I took time to work at home for the past ten years, I have always planned to return to the workplace when our children were old enough. During those years, I learned that I am not only a highly organized mother and leader, but a capable and quick learner. I have always maintained my Massachusetts license through continuing education courses. My Florida license is currently under endorsement through the Florida Board of Nursing. Very Truly Yours,
Suzanne Dinmore
