Employment History:

3/14 – 3/16 – Electrical Design Engineer at Systems Technologies, Hayden, ID

Product development: Accelerated Concept to Final Product. Designer. Design and develop the engineering for the enclosure.

10/13 – 2/14 Called back to Parker Aerospace (ISR) as a Contractor to design and develop a pump motor controller. Parker Aerospace bought out ISR/SprayCool

9/08 to 6/11 – Electrical Design Engineer at Transtector, Hayden, ID

Designed PCB’s and Modules for the Armed Forces that incorporated power protection and suppression. This includes military contracts that required EMP and HEMP protection.

8/06 to 8/08 – Electrical Design and Test Engineer at Venture Design Services, Liberty Lake, WA

Designed and developed the non-RF electronics required for a location and communication safety system for use in hazardous mines environments.

4/03 to 7/06 – Electrical Design Engineer at Isothermal Systems Research, Liberty Lake, WA

Designing the Motor Controllers for the ISR family of pumps using Sensorless BLDC programmable 3 phase Motor Controllers. Power regulation and noise suppression were key factors in these designs.

R&D Lab Engineer at Isothermal Systems Research, Clarkston, WA

Responsible for building and maintaining an R&D lab. Built test set-ups, implemented the instrumentation, designed the electronics, ran the tests and collected and reduced the data. These experiments were based on the fundamentals of Thermodynamics characterized by Pressure, Flow, Temperature and Electrical Power.

7/00 to 4/01 – Contracting as a Circuit Designer, Programmer and Test Engineer primarily for Lifestream Technologies, Post Falls, ID

Developed a series of PC driven tests for a state of the art medical device. I was hired to design an automated in-circuit tester based on an 80C51 and write the code. I developed the test requirements, designed the test hardware, created the GUI’s and wrote the VB code for the test programs. I was also involved with further product development and cost cutting efforts where functional testing and data collection were required. This allowed me to rewrite potions of the product’s Motorola 68HC908 code in a way so that the product could be modified and used as a tester and programming device.

5/94 to 12/99 – Test Engineer for Advanced Input Devices, Coeur d’Alene, ID

Test Engineer primarily on 8XC51 microcontroller based data communication peripherals for OEM systems. Developed the test strategy, H/W and F/W for all of the engineering prototypes. Verified, in detail that each new design met all of its functional requirements. Performed my own testing and plenty of trouble-shooting. Was an integral part of the EE Designers Group providing functional data, design verification and enhancement ideas throughout the development phase for all new products. Was the bridge between Engineering development and Manufacturing

3/81 to 4/92 – Electrical Design Engineer for Martin Marietta Aerospace Group, Denver, CO

My responsibilities as a Design Engineer were “Cradle-to-Grave” for control and monitor systems used in aerospace applications for NASA and the USAF. I developed the subsystem requirements, detailed circuit designs from component level through subsystem level including the schematics using Mentor Graphic’s Schedit on Unix-based Sun workstations, generated subsystem test procedures, provided field integration support. I was also responsible for meeting my costs and schedules, managing the mechanical design, managing all engineering related documentation and over-seeing the build of the units.
