Formerly the Kraft Foods Group Company. The largest food and beverage business in North America and one of the largest publicly traded consumer packaged food and beverage companies.

OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Responsible for the D Shift manufacturing operations on the weekend shift for a 24/7 operation.

Supervised over 100 hourly employees, production coordinator and five line technicians in a food manufacturing USDA regulated environment. Responsibe to achieve productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety and employe engagement objectives through both individual and team contributions in a union environment.

Trained new employees to support a multi-million dollar expansion and growth at the facility.

Responsible to ensure that products produced meet the safety, quality, productivity, cost standards and expectations for yield, delivery, and overall equipment effectiveness.

Implemented and maintained all Quality and Sanitary standards, including meeting compliance and regulatory requirements for GMP, FSCC, and USDA standards.

A privately held specialty chemicals manufacturer of custom chemicals, dispersions, process aids, and homogenizing agents for the tire, automotive, rubber, and plastics markets.

Managed manufacturing, engineering, shipping, quality, planning, risk management, EHS, hiring, staffing and terminations. Led six direct and 50 hourly reports in a 24/7 three shift chemical operation.

Completed the annual operating plan reducing DL costs by 14%, OHL costs by 6% and over $250K in savings.

Improved OEE from 70 % to 85% by utilizing 5S, SMED, TPM methodologies, and cross-training employees.

Completed a joint plant DMADV project to add zinc ricinoleate to silos with potential savings of $50,000.

Implemented 5 Why, 8D and FMEA problem solving for Customer Complaint resolutions.

Provided leadership and problem solving along with driving cost savings, while implementing Six Sigma and Lean . In charge of P&L, strategic planning, budgeting, supply chain management, risk management, environmental, safety, regulatory compliance, hiring, staffing, terminations, promotions and continuous improvement. Led seven direct, six indirect and 150 hourly reports. Participated in global and cross functional teams to support business, corporate and global strategy.

Implemented Lean Six Sigma with a cost savings of $3 M in a three years period.

Initiated and coordinated major capital projects (plant layouts, equipment, major repairs) totaling over $2M.

Developed a Skill Based Pay System to reduce overtime, absenteeism, and implement self directed work teams.

Implemented Ansell Safety Calendar, START Safety Training and use of FMEAs for internal risks, reducing LTIs, MTIs and Days Lost to zero incidents for three consecutive years until plant closing.
