Researched and helped the design of a Revolving Algal Biofilm (RAB) growth system for tertiary wastewater treatment.

Algal cells are attached to a flexible material rotating between liquid and gas phases for the sole purpose of removing suspended solids and coliforms and recovering nitrogen and phosphorous from the water.
