Child Protective Services

WVDHHR - Martinsburg, WV - January 2013 to Present I work with clients on a daily basis.I evaluate the safety of children in their homes. Work with the court system to insure the safety of children. Work with law enforcement to obtain information about abuse and neglect. File to take children into states custody if they are being abused or neglected . Complete reports and petitions to document the information I obtain during an assessment. Call clients references and varify medical information per HIPPA regulations. Make medical decisions for the children. Return calls to clients, lawyers and others involved in cases. Attend court as scheduled.

Adult Protective Service

WV DHHR - Clarksburg, WV - January 2009 to January 2013 I did investigations on private homes, nursing homes, and other facilities for adults that were alleged to be abused or neglected. I filed for guardianship and health care surrogate if needed. I completed West Virginia PAS for clients that could no longer stay in their homes. I completed necessary documentation and paperwork in my cases. I filed court cases if necessary is abuse and neglect did take place. I worked with the funeral homes if someone passed away.I also worked with the homeless. Youth Service Worker

WVDHHR - Fairmont, WV - January 2008 to January 2009 I worked with juvenile delinquents and juvenile status offenders. I completed paperwork and evaluations on these teenagers and arranged services for their families. I attended Court and testified to knowledge that I had concerning the case.

HOME BASE, INC. - Buckhannon, WV - October 2004 to January 2008 I works doing supervised visitation with parents who had children where in custody of the West Virginia DHHR. I tought parenting classes to the parents doing their Improvement period with the courts. I worked as an Outreach worker going into the families home working with the families on safety plans. I worked at the Home Base is residential group homes as a residential counselor working with young men who have been placed there through the courts. I was a certified CPR and first aid instructor. I trained the new employees in CPR and first aid as they entered the company. I completed all documentation in all positions in a timely manner multitasking as needed.
